Who we are

BoostingScore is an IELTS preparation platform operated from Turkey. You create an account with an email address and password to practise Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, and vocabulary.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and a hashed password (we cannot read your password).
• Study progress — vocabulary progress, streaks, lesson completion, and similar learning records.
• Writing — essay text you submit and the AI feedback we return.
• Speaking — transcripts of your spoken answers and scores/feedback. See “Speaking audio” below.
• Usage logs — which features you use and when (for example AI check counts), so we can run the product and apply free-plan limits.

Speaking audio

When you record a speaking answer for AI scoring (practice test), the recording is sent to OpenAI’s Whisper API for transcription and then used to generate feedback. We keep the transcript and scores in your account.

Important: Self-practice recording in the Speaking study section stays in your browser and is not uploaded. For practice-test Speaking, recordings are currently uploaded to our servers for transcription and optional rescoring. If you want audio deleted from your account, email us (see Contact).

How we use your data

• To run your account and show your progress, history, and feedback.
• To score writing and speaking practice with AI and display results to you.
• To apply plan limits (for example daily AI checks) and keep the service secure.
• To respond when you ask for support, access, or deletion of your data.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. We do not use your writing or speaking content to train our own AI models.

Third parties

• OpenAI (United States) — processes writing and speaking submissions through their API to generate transcriptions and feedback. OpenAI’s API terms state that API data is not used to train their models.
• Railway — hosts the BoostingScore application and database.

We only share what is needed for these services to work. No payment processors are connected yet; if paid plans launch later, we will update this page.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your data.
• We don’t show ads or use advertising trackers.
• We don’t use analytics cookies.
• We don’t keep self-practice browser recordings on our servers (study section).
• We don’t use your submissions to train OpenAI models via the API.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies needed to keep you logged in and to run the site securely (session cookies). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Access and deletion

You can delete your account and all related data yourself from Profile → Danger zone (avatar menu → Profile). You can also email support@boostingscore.com to access or delete your personal data. We handle requests under applicable data protection law, including Türkiye’s KVKK and, where it applies, the GDPR.
